I am sorry to just find out of Tashia's passing and this is very sad. I sat next to Tashia at Dianne Reeves concert at UH - drummer Terreon Gully was our common friend. She had a lovely red dress and pearl necklace. We became automatic friends. Our friendship grew through phone calls and I took her to a film fest after party and my friends karaoke bday party. Both events she fit in and was a low key social magnet. I am glad I met you and thank you for sharing your stories with me. I regret not trying to contact you sooner. The world has lost a uniquely multi-talented woman.

Tash is my cousin, I remember connecting with her Since becoming grown. She always showed me love and her smile was contagious, we reconnected last year after sixteen years and we picked back up where we left off. Tash was so talented and I had finally found someone in my family that shared a love for the arts as I did. We stayed in contact until Covid 19 then I began missing my cuz but figured she was grinding getting the house she told me she was going to get. Last week I saw Tash in a dream and she smiled that grand piano smile at me, I know she moved into her new house in glory that she spoke of I’ll miss our conversations cuz and your laughter but I’ll see you on the other side at the crossroads.

Tashia was an intelligent and sweet person. We were at Dunbar and Lincoln together, and she was the pianist for Truelight Baptist Church, my home church in the Southend. She could light up a room with that pretty smile and personality. I am proud to say that she was loved by my family and will be greatly missed. Rest in Heaven.

I grew up in the Southend with Tashia. We went to Dunbar, Hughes-Quinn, & Lincoln. Tashia was always so sweet and kind. She was also talented and gifted. I remember rides to school with Lili St. Christopher (Prude), Tashia, and myself. Tashia was the epitome of light! Every room she entered, she made it brighter with her smile. She was never cross with anyone, nor was anyone ever cross with her. It broke my heart to hear of her passing. She will always be remembered for her smile, her light, and her kindness. My prayers to the Beatty family.

My heart is filled with sadness of hearing of your passing Tash. Words can't describe the feeling. I'll miss your laughter.... The moments we shared and our cherished frindship. The trips and adventures we took. Watching the football games together and the deep conversations we would go back and forth debating. Your wit and intellect was always admirable. You could fill up a room!! I know I speak for All the musicians here in Houston when I say your memory will have a lasting impression on all you blessed with your presence. YOU are definitely going to be missed !!!
My deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to your family !!
