Ms. Velma Howard leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and caring children; daughter, Margaret (Ronald) Dozier of Edwardsville, IL; three sons, Dwight Fletcher and Abbie Fletcher Jr. of Lovejoy, IL and Stephen (Catherine) Fletcher of St. Louis, MO; brother, George (Theresa) Patton of Spring, TX and a sister, Ella Jane Scott of Alton, IL; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and six great- great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews; two dear friends, Sis. Irene Henry and Bro. George McShan; a godson, Tony Simmons and other relatives and friends.
