Resolution for Mrs. Bernice Eastern
To: Soror Linda Eastern Haynes and the entire Eastern Family.

We, the Alumni Members of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Delta Beta Chapter, come together this 7th day of December, to share our sincere expression of love and much heartfelt sympathy to you and your family and offer the following words of encouragement.

In comfort you may, "Cast your burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee; he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”

In encouragement, when thou passes through the water, the Lord will be with thee; and through the river, they shall not overflow thee.

In strength, finally, be strong in the Lord, in the power of his might. In 2nd Corinthian 12:9, it reads "My Grace is sufficient for thee: For my strength is made perfect in weakness."

We pray you go to God for comfort and for hope. We encourage you to keep your faith in Jesus Christ, trust in God during this time, and allow the Holy Spirit to comfort you and keep you.

We know that Mrs. Eastern was a loving wife, an excellent mother and grandmother, a great sister, wonderful aunt, and sister-in-law. She was a friend to many and most of all a faithful servant of the Lord. We thank God for the love she shared and the love we shared with her.
Humbly submitted

To my co-worker, Marcel Smith...yes, we were just talking about our mothers the other day...we spoke pleasantly and laughed loudly...I pray this poem will give you comfort in the days to come. With love, Nina

Weep Not For Me
By an Unknown Author

Weep not for me though I have gone
Into that gentle night
Grieve if you will, but not for long
Upon my soul’s sweet flight

I am at peace, my soul’s at rest
There is no need for tears
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years

There is no pain, I suffer not
The fear is now all gone
Put now these things out of your thoughts
In your memory I live on

Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife
Please do not dwell upon my death
But celebrate my life.
