Mr. Earnest Lewis leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Julia Lewis of Philadelphia; five grandchildren, Jayshawn, Coryell, Kylid, Taji, and Julia; three children whom he was a father figure, Sherice Pettis, Akem Pettis and Hope McCabe. He also leaves seven siblings, Preston Smith, Charles Smith, Rosie Westerfield (Henry), Doris Smith, Atha Glover (Donell) Sammie Buchanan, Margaret White (Harry ); and a host of family and friends.
